TARZAN actor Ron Ely’s wife was stabbed to death by the couple’s son – who police then shot and killed, cops said on Wednesday.
Former Miss Florida Valerie Lundeen, 62, was found dead from multiple stab wounds on Tuesday night in Hope Ranch – a luxury suburb of Santa Barbara, California.

Officers rushed to the scene after a chilling 911 call – reportedly made by the killer himself – just after 8pm local time.
Four cops then shot and killed a suspect they found on outside the property in response to an unspecified threat, a sheriff’s statement said.
The dead suspect was later confirmed as the the elderly couple’s son – 30-year-old Cameron Ely.
According to audio footage obtained by The Blast, the killer claimed in his original emergency call that dad Ron had attacked his mother.
‘UNINTELLIGIBLE AND CRYING’
But the operator adds that when authorities called back the caller sounded “out of breath, unintelligible and crying”.
There were no reports of Ron Ely being injured – but deputies said previously that an elderly man had been taken to hospital for checks.
It was not clear if Cameron – one of the couple’s three children – had been living with them at the time.

We don’t know exactly how many shots were fired. We did have several deputies that were involved in the shooting
Lt Erik Raney
Lt Erik Raney of the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office told CNN: “We wanted to make sure all the residents were safe while we searched the area.
“We had initially called in the air support unit and neighbouring law enforcement agencies to come help in the search.
“When we were able to locate the suspect on the property of the homicide, and after the confrontation, we lifted the shelter in place.”
He added: “We don’t know exactly how many shots were fired.
“We did have several deputies that were involved in the shooting.
“Fortunately all of our deputies are OK.”
Ely, 81, played the title character on the NBC series Tarzan – which ran from 1966 to 1968.
Tall and musclebound, Ely formed the image of the shirtless, loincloth-wearing character he remains as in modern depictions.
Tarzan was a fictional character raised in the African jungle.
