A MUM has been arrested after her 10-year-old daughter allegedly licked tongue depressor at a doctor’s surgery in Florida before putting it back.
Cori Ward, 30, appeared in court Friday where a judge ordered her to stay off social media after posting the clip of her daughter on Snapchat.

In the video, a sign in the surgery room clearly reads: “Please do not touch medical supplies! Thank you!”
A hand then removes the lid of the tongue depressor jar before a young girl whose face is blurred appears to lick the wooden stick before putting it back in a jar.
“Don’t tell me how to live my life,” a caption on the video reads.
The video was later posted to Facebook and eventually caught the attention of authorities. It has since been removed, reported New York Post.
After her arrest, the 30-year-old was warned not to contact anyone at the All Kids and Families Medical Centre in Jacksonville.
Ward was charged with one count of tampering with a consumer product without regard for possible death or injury.
The act is considered a first-degree felony in the state of Florida and is punishable by up to 30 years in prison as well as a $10,000 fine.
In a statement, officials at the medical centre said they “immediately removed all materials and containers” from the examination room and sanitised the entire facility.
But Ward insisted on her since-deleted Facebook profile that she had never heard of a so-called “licking challenge,” WJXX reported.
She wrote: “The video doesn’t show that the items were thrown away or anything else that happened.
“I posted this on my personal Snapchat with my 20-something friends, where someone allowed another person to view it.
“I didn’t post it on Facebook or YouTube as a challenge or whatever.”
A judge set Ward’s bail at £2,000 during her initial court appearance.
The ordeal is the latest in a disturbing trend of people caught on video licking products, such as ice cream, and then returning it to shelves.
Earlier this month, a woman licked ice cream straight from the tub before putting it back in the shop freezer.
Cops said they had tracked down the felonious fridge raider.
Police in Lufkin, Texas, said they believed they had identified the frozen-treat fiend after “detectives had obtained surveillance video placing a woman matching the suspect description in the Lufkin [Walmart] on June 28 around 11 p.m.”
