A VEGAN activist accused of causing the deaths of nearly 100 rabbits after an allegedly failed “rescue mission” says ensuing death threats are causing her “extreme anxiety”.
But despite online intimidation, the British campaigner, who goes by “Mythical Mia”, has posted photographs of dead bunnies dumped in bins as she continued to campaign.

Barcelona-based Mia earlier this week shared a video of herself covered in blood after she claimed she was chased by angry farmers, having saved 16 rabbits from land in Osona, Catalonia.
She claimed bullets shattered a car window and glass shards cut her face.
But her rescue mission was blasted by locals, who said more than 90 rabbits has to be put down after the rescue bid.
According to La Vanguardia, several of the animals “rescued” had just given birth, meaning their offspring were left without mothers.
News of the fury went global.
But speaking exclusively to Sun Online, Mia said she has been targeted with sinister threats.
She said: “I am suffering with extreme anxiety and PTSD plus all the constant rape and death threats.”
Earlier she posted how headlines such as “multiple rabbits died after vegan action” were causing a “huge diversion”.
She said: “So instead of the public seeing information and headlines about the disgusting environments thousands of these rabbits are expected to exist all over the year.
“They have been fooled to think that activists caused physical harm to the animals they had specifically to rescue.
“This is exactly what these industries want, to try and suppress activists. Shaming tactics are a common method.”
A veterinarian’s report certified that as well as the 90 that were euthanised, a further five pregnant rabbits passed away and several others suffered broken spines, according to NacioDigital.
The report added that the stress suffered to a number of rabbits caused them to lose their pregnancies.
Posting her side of the story on Instagram, Mia claimed she had rescued 16 rabbits – but police later confirmed the figure to be 14.
Speaking on her page, the activist said the farmers chased her for an hour and eventually shot out the car window.
Police said the window was likely to have been broken by an object, however, due to the impact of the glass.
‘A LOT OF BLOOD’
Mia said: “The police came and told us to leave peacefully, which we did. After we left the farmers chased us down the motorway at [124mph] for an hour.
“We tried to lose them down a side road but they were on our tails. They blocked us into a dead end and surrounded the car with five other farmers’ cars.
“We called the police, who arrived after an hour. They defused the situation and escorted us to a ‘safe place’. We asked them to escort us home but they refused and said we would be okay.
“They let us go and 10 minutes later back on the motorway one of their cars pulled up alongside us and shot at us.
However, the ‘rescue mission’ was later shunned by locals, who said that as a result of the mission, more than 90 bunnies had to be put down[/caption]

Mia was visibly upset following the incident in Spain[/caption]
“The window exploded in my face and there was a lot of blood from all the glass.
“Despite everything, I am just happy that those 16 lives are free from harm. They make everything worth it.”
She later issued a statement denying involvement in the deaths of the rabbits on the farm.
Mia added: “This is false information with no evidence to back it up. We were inside that farm for less than five minutes and we only touched the rabbits who we rescued, who are all doing fine now, despite being very sick when rescued due to the filthy living conditions of that farm.
“We did not leave any babies without their mothers as we only rescued young ones. We had a professional vet on site with us the whole time.”
A spokeswoman for Catalonia police later issued a statement describing the incident.
She said: “On Sunday, September 1 at 7.30pm, a group of activists entered a farm in Gurb, Osona, and took 14 rabbits.
“When Mossos d’Esquadra arrived at the site, the activists were outside. The 14 rabbits have not been found. There were some farmers at the scene and there was tension between the two groups.

“Mossos separated them and escorted them from the premises to avoid further conflict.
“Just before 11pm, we were informed that one of the windows of an activist’s car had suffered an impact – and that a girl had injuries to her face as a result of the broken glass.
“The window was most likely struck by a forceful object, due to the nature of the impact, rather than a shot from a shotgun.”
